Depression is not always black or white...please never ignore your mental health. Always be in touch with your near and dear ones.
Wrong perception:
We think that depression is just a state of mind and once can come over it by thinking positive. So one needs to control thoughts to overcome depression.
Causal factors:
It may or may not be hereditary
A past history of sexual, physical or emotional abuse
Conflicts or disputes with family
Death or loss of a loved one/pet
Addiction to alcohol/drugs
Unmet expectations
Some common symptoms:
Loss of interest in activities
Weight loss or gain
trouble getting to sleep/ or feeling sleepy during the day
Feeling restless and agitated, or else very sluggish and tired
Feeling worthless/ hopeless
Trouble concentrating or making decisions
Suicidal thoughts
YES, DEPRESSION is treatable:
Follow your doctor's treatment plan along with prescribed medications

Make lifestyle changes
